    Clinical and Counselling Psychologist

    Dr. Erum Moosa is the esteemed founder and Clinical Director of Psych Cares, a leading clinic established in 2019. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Clinical Psychology (ICP), University of Karachi, which she completed in 2016. Dr. Erum is a dedicated professional offering comprehensive assessment and treatment services in the fields of counseling and clinical psychology.

    In addition to her Ph.D., Dr. Erum has completed a Post Magisterial Diploma (PMD) in Clinical Psychology from ICP, University of Karachi. She has also earned international certification in Common Co-occurring Mental and Medical Disorders for addiction professionals (UTC-3). With 14 years of experience as a clinician, researcher, and educator, Dr. Erum brings a wealth of expertise to her practice.

    Dr. Erum possesses a diverse skill set and extensive experience in working with mood and anxiety disorders, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, and anger and stress management. She is particularly adept at assessing and treating individuals, couples, families, and children dealing with a wide range of challenges, including chronic pain, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, communication issues, depression, and other interpersonal problems.

    Dr. Erum's professional journey includes nine years as a Clinical Psychologist at the Psychosocial Centre, Hilal-e-Ahmer, and six years as an Affiliate Psychologist at ICAS MENA. She has also served as an assistant professor at Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) for five years and as visiting faculty at the Institute of Business Management. Currently, Dr. Erum holds the position of assistant professor at Ziauddin University (ZU).

    Dr. Erum Moosa has conducted numerous professional training sessions, significantly contributing to mental health awareness and development across various organizations. She has delivered training sessions on managing workplace stress, anxiety, and depression for ENGRO Polymers, Al-Karam Textile, Union Fabrics, Dawood Takaful, and PC Hotel Pakistan. Dr. Erum has also led training on mental health first aid and awareness at Greenwich University, Practical Schooling System, Greenstar Marketing, Roots Millennium College, District 19, Baqai University, Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Baydari, and Markaz-e-Umeed, Pakistan. Furthermore, she has conducted training programs on counseling for Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, and on communication skills for the Youth Methodize Organization, Karachi, Pakistan.

    An accomplished academic, Dr. Erum has contributed significantly to her field with several peer-reviewed papers published in academic journals. Her research focuses on coping strategies, attachment, and marital satisfaction. Dr. Erum is a licensed member of the Pakistan Association of Mental Health (PAMH), a proud member of the Pakistan Association of Clinical Psychologists (PACA) and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
